What a website actually costs.
Most agencies will not put a number on a page. Here is ours, in full, including the year-one arithmetic and the work we do not take on.
A website with Fablence is $299 once, charged only when you approve the design, then $69 a month for the site, hosting, maintenance and edits. That makes year one $299 + (12 × $69) = $1127, and every year after it $828. Nothing is charged before you have seen the design and said yes.

What are the real options, and what do they cost?
Four ways to get a business website. The prices below are the ranges those categories actually charge, not a straw man — and the two-year total is where the difference shows up, because the cheap options charge you in time and the expensive ones charge you again after launch.
| Route | Up front | Each month | Two years | Who fixes it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Build it yourself on a site builder | $0 | $16–$49 | $384–$1,176 plus your weekends | You do |
| Hire a freelancer | $1,500–$5,000 | $0, then hourly | $1,700–$5,500 if nothing breaks | Them, if they reply |
| Hire a local agency | $3,000–$10,000 | $100–$300 | $5,400–$17,200 | Them, on a retainer |
| Fablence | $299 on approval | $69 | $1955 | We do, included |
What is not included, and what does it cost?
Every plan includes 30 minutes of edits a month — new hours, a price change, swapped photos, a fixed typo. Anything larger is $20 an hour, billed in 15 minutes blocks, and always quoted as a number you approve in writing before any work starts. Unused minutes do not roll over, which we would rather write down than let you believe a bank of hours is building up.
Do you build online shops?
Yes, and on a different model from the rest of this page. We build the store; you host it on Shopify. That is deliberate — Shopify carries the checkout, the card payments, the tax rules and the uptime, which are the parts of a shop that cost money when they go wrong at three in the morning. Priced per build rather than monthly, because there is nothing for us to host.
What do you not build?
Four things, and we say so before you pay rather than after: booking and scheduling systems, custom web apps, membership or login portals, and multi-location franchise sites. Those are not a 72-hour rebuild and they do not fit inside 30 minutes of edits a month. If that is what you need, a specialist is the right answer and we will say so on the first email.
Pricing
You pay the setup fee when you approve the design. Not before.
We build the homepage first and show it to you. If it isn't better than what you have, you owe us nothing and we delete it.

Any time, no notice period, no twelve-month wait, no buyout fee. You get a complete copy of your site — every page, every image — and a one-page guide for whoever takes it over next.
We'd rather you stayed because the work is good. Plenty of people in this business hold your site hostage to stop you leaving. That's not a business, it's a hostage situation.

Questions
What people ask before they pay.
$69 a month sounds too cheap. What's the catch?
There isn't one, but here's the honest reason it works: your content already exists on your current site, so we're not spending weeks chasing you for photos and copy. That's most of what makes a website expensive. The setup fee covers the build; the monthly covers hosting, maintenance and keeping an eye on it.
When do I actually pay?
Nothing up front and nothing to see the design. The $299 is charged when you approve it — if you don't like what we build, you don't pay for it and you owe us nothing. The $69 a month covers the site from there.
What is the difference between $69 and $199 a month?
$69 is the website: built, hosted, maintained, with 30 minutes of edits a month. $199 is that plus the search and AI-visibility work — claiming and completing the listings assistants actually read, keeping your name, address and phone number identical across all of them, and the on-page work behind it. We don't sell it on day one, because there is nothing to optimise until your site is live.
What happens if I cancel?
You ask, we send you a complete copy of your website, and we help point your domain wherever you want it. Your site stays up for 30 days while you sort it out. No notice period, no exit fee, no holding your domain hostage.
Do I have to give you my domain or my Google listing?
No. Your domain stays registered in your name on your own account. On your Google Business Profile you stay the owner and we're only added as a manager — and we remove ourselves within a week if you leave.
Find out what your website should look like.
It costs nothing to look. We send back a redesigned homepage and a plain-English note on what is holding the current one back — written by a person, not generated.
