To get your business on Apple Maps, you add or claim its place card in Apple Business, Apple's free platform for businesses, then verify it and complete it. Apple Business replaced Apple Business Connect in April 2026, so older guides send you to a tool that no longer exists under that name. Here is how to add a business to Apple Maps today, step by step, from Apple's own guide.
How do I get my business on Apple Maps?
In three steps: sign in to Apple Business, add your location (or claim it, if Apple Maps already shows it) and verify it. Then complete what customers see on your place card. Apple announced Apple Business on March 24, 2026 as "a free service in the U.S. and 200+ countries and regions", available from April 14, and wrote that "brand management tools previously available in Apple Business Connect will now be available through Apple Business" (Apple Newsroom, March 24, 2026). The old Business Connect address now redirects to business.apple.com.
How to add a business to Apple Maps, step by step
Apple's steps for a single location (Apple Business User Guide, Add a single location in Apple Business):
- Open Locations. Sign in to Apple Business and go to Brands, then Locations.
- Add the location. Select Add Location, choose a single location, and enter the business name. If Apple Maps already shows your business, select it from the results to claim it.
- Place the pin. Enter the address and move the map pin onto the right building; Apple suggests the Hybrid or Satellite view to see the entrance.
- Describe the business. Enter the name to show on Apple Maps, the primary category and the status (open, or opening soon within six months), the phone number and, if you have one, the website.
- Set the hours and the brand. Add your opening hours, then choose or create the brand the location belongs to.
- Verify. Verify the location, or your organization if it is not verified yet, and send it to Apple for review.
How do you verify a business on Apple Maps?
By phone, if the place already exists on Apple Maps: select Location Verification, then Phone Verification, and Apple calls the number it has on record for the location; you enter the four-digit code from the call. A place that is new to Apple Maps is verified through your organization instead, which Apple reviews. Apple also asks that your email accepts mail from apple.com domains, so its messages reach you.
What if your business is already claimed?
A former owner, an agency or a listing service may already manage it. Add the location anyway, then go to Brands, then Locations, find it, and under Status select Request Transfer. Explain why management should move to you and attach a document such as a business license or a utility bill. Apple says its review can take up to five business days.
What should your Apple Maps business listing include?
Everything a customer needs to choose you without leaving Maps: the exact name you use everywhere, the right category, your hours, phone and website, photos of the place and the work, and actions for what people do next. Showcases add a short promotion, which Apple describes as a way to highlight "deals, special offers, new products, or seasonal items on place cards in Maps." Keep the name, address and phone identical to your Google Business Profile and your Bing Places listing, so people, search engines and AI assistants see one business, not three slightly different ones.
Can someone do this for you?
Yes. Our local SEO services claim and complete your listings on Apple Business, Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Yelp and Foursquare, with the same details on every one, and keep them current. See what each plan includes, or start with a free proposal.
